Le Commandeur Globe

Hand-made meridian globe with unique tilting mechanism designed by J.P. Roberts.  Metal components are patinated and hand rubbed to highlight details.  Globe locks into place by tightening a cast iron knob.  Loosen knob and tilt globe back to view lower hemisphere.  Base is comprised of re-purposed planetary gears coupled with ornamental iron and brass components.
Globe ball is covered in genuine leather and manufactured in the U.S.A.  Each piece is signed and dated.
