Immersed
in the lush foliage and rolling hills of the Catskill Mountains, Lavaggi
has spent his life working, playing, and roaming the forests that he paints.
"Painting is one more way of becoming intimate with the environment
that I love." |
|
Lavaggi
attended Cooper Union from 1963 through 68 and has been sculpting, painting
and designing houses ever since. Lavaggi was influenced by his teacher
Wolf Kahn and his neighbor Milton Avery who lived across the meadow
from where Lavaggi lives today.
