Janna Ugone classic, hand painted, parchment, shaded floor lamps are a fresh approach to an age-old craft. Oiled parchment was first used around the 1920’s for lamp shades. Today, the same techniques are employed to hand-make these shades. Once the shade is fabricated, it is meticulously hand paint with Janna's custom designs.

Layers of translucent color are applied to the custom made parchment shades creating a warm glow to this painterly line. Some lampshades are accented with pewter charms, sterling beads, painted buttons, or detailed piercing when noted. Each piece is signed and dated.

Janna Ugone individually hand painted ceramic shades offer a unique depth of surface achieved through a rich layering of glazed and fired surfaces.
