Art Mirrors, Handwoven Copper and Steel Mirrors

Jean and Tom Heffernan's mirrors are works of art. These unusual mirrors are made by treating strips of copper and steel with heat and chemicals that are then woven together. This weaving of colored stripes radiates into space therein. The woven stripes are juxtaposed to flat areas which have a metallic brushed surface adding even more texture. Light and color play off these surfaces in wonderfully subtle ways.
