Due to the nature of handcrafted work, subtle variations are natural.
Sara and Michael Beames combine the ancient art of fused (kiln fired) glass with cast pewter, aluminum, and wood, to create contemporary, yet, classic, elegant Jewish ritual objects for Chanukah, Passover, Shabbat, Weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, home accessories, jewelry, and gifts. Special Collections include an ornament for the White House, Washington DC (now in the Clinton Library), and an Eternal Flame sculpture for the Kingston City Hall, Kingston. Handmade in the USA.
Sara and Michael Beames started Beames Designs! in 1990. They produce hand made fused glass Judaica, Jewelry, and Home Accessories. Sara is the driving force behind the glass design. With a degree in Art from San Francisco State University and many years in the commercial art world, she has turned her passion for glass and good design into a joyous livelihood. Her work has received three Niche Award Nominations. Michael, who grew up in Australia (g'day mate) has a background in education and business. His work entails the administration of the business, as well as sandblasting and final quality control. Special Collections include an ornament for the White House, Washington DC (now in the Clinton Library), and an Eternal Flame sculpture for the Kingston City Hall, Kingston, NY. Their goal is to create artwork that is functional, aesthetically appealing and accessibly priced.
